Conformity certification procedure > Taking of samples for testing

The test samples are taken by a LLC "SERTIS-CENTER" representative or a representative of a competent company that is the third party assigned by LLC  "SERTIS-CENTER".

The samples are taken at random in the presence of manufacturer (applicant) persons in charge. This is accounted in Test Sampling Certificate.

The number of samples taken is regulated by standards and norms or by LLC "SENTER-CENTER" in every specific case.

One sample of every dimension type of electrical equipment should be taken. One sample is allowed for a series of electrical devices of the same type with the same explosion protection. It after LLC "SENTER-CENTER" gives its permission.

There should be 3 lights. 10 lamps, 30 protective glasses and 3 protective gratings should be provided together with the samples.

If electrical equipment has sight holes the sight glasses of each type and dimension should be provided.

Electrical equipment with filling compounds or assembly units and parts pressed in plastic should be provided together with the samples of these assembly units and parts but without their filling or pressing.

If electrical equipment has intrinsically safe electric circuits with parts which may be damaged during the test (such as transistors, diodes, transformers winding) these spare parts should be provided.

The number of dry cells (to test intrinsically safe PSUs) necessary for operation should be doubled.

Electrical equipment submitted for testing should have special disassembling tools and devices as well as the complete set of plugs for cable entries. If electrical equipment is explosion protected assembled with the other units these units or their parts necessary for testing should be provided.

Electrical equipment samples should have connected cables pieces at least 200 mm long.

Minimal length of cables and wires for each electrical device with intrinsically safe electrical circuits is set by LLC "SENTER-CENTER" in every specific case.
