Conformity certification procedure > Technical documentation

To ensure complete and precise conformity certification an applicant should provide LLC "SERTIS-CENTER" with all necessary documentation with corresponding requirements in accordance with explosion protected equipment standards.

Technical documentation for explosion protected electrical equipment of domestic manufacture should be submitted in two bound copies and should contain:

  • specifications with standards and requirements for explosion protection of electrical equipment;
  • operational documents describing technical data, assembly and safety operation of electrical equipment with applied means and methods of explosion protection;
  • explosion protected electrical equipment assembly drawings, circuit diagrams and connection schemes. The documents mentioned above should have explosion protection parameters as well as the structure of assembly units and parts which provide explosion protection, explosion protection marking and warning labels, insulating materials, creepage and clearance distances (where necessary);
  • reports of the last periodic tests copies;
  • if the explosion protected electrical equipment set includes assembly units of general purpose which are located out of explosive zones but connected with explosion protected units (for example, PSU for intrinsically safe sensors), then documents for these units of general purpose should be provided;

Applicant should affix its seal to each copy and write down "True copy".

If a foreign (import) production is submitted for conformation then the applicant should provide LLC "SERTIS-CENTER" with:

  • manual or installation and operational guides
  • certificate of conformity issued by the National organization of manufacturer;
  • electrical equipment drawings (the same which were submitted to the National testing organization);
  • production sample (will be returned after testing);
  • production testing report which was the basis for conformity certificate.

All information excluding technical description or installation and operation guides can be submitted in the English or German languages.
